SIMPSON BAY TO FRIARS BAY

Due to the cancelation of many regattas in the Caribbean, the calendar allowed for additional keelboat races.

APRIL 25: SIMPSON BAY TO FRIAR'S BAY RACE

A fun one day event, perfect for all keelboats: cruisers, racers and multihulls, a race to Friar's Bay to show our collaboration with the sailing club there.

The plan is as follows (allowing for possible changes and at discretion of the Race Officer):

First start signal 9.30am in Simpson Bay.

Multihulls will race to Friar's Bay leaving Tintemarre to starboard and Creole Rock to port.

Cruising class will race to Friar's Bay, rounding a windward start marker and leaving the Cardinal Marker in Marigot to port.

Racing class will go twice around a WW-LW course as race 1, followed by a race to Friar's Bay leaving the Cardinal Marker in Marigot to port.

Finish in Friar's Bay will be hosted/organized by the Friar's Bay Yacht Club.

Prize giving is scheduled for 2pm on the beach by the Friar's Bay beach club. Lunch is at your own discretion.

This is a stand alone event and won't count towards the overall Grant Thornton keelboat series. The perfect opportunity to test out the boat and with excellent sailing conditions forecasted for Sunday, a great day out on the water!
