“Every year we organize one raffle as the main fundraiser for our youth sailing program and each year we are overwhelmed by the support from the local businesses. There are so many prizes to win, everyone can walk away a winner, especially as raffle tickets sell at only $5 per ticket. Besides St. Maarten businesses making significant donations, a number of our members are as well. We have members who open their beautiful homes for a home cooked meal or sunset cocktails, how special to win such a prize! We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Sint Maarten Yacht Club for a fun afternoon and to see what we put together with the support from the community.” says General Manager Michele Korteweg.
The Grant Thornton Multi Class Regatta takes place April 6 & 7, followed by prize giving on Sunday April 7th at 2.30pm, a yard sale from 1pm onwards, a raffle for the SMYC Youth Sailing Program with the drawing at 4.30pm and live music with Amin and Delphine from 3pm – 6pm.
