Registration for Caribbean Multihull Challenge II is open now!

Updated: Aug 27, 2019

There is a sailing revolution happening on the small island of Sint Maarten / Saint Martin. A revolution so simple that it seldom needs explanation. It is the explosion of a new regatta organized exclusively for multihulls called ‘The Caribbean Multihull Challenge’.

Three days in the big winds of February for a celebration of the growth and influence of multihull yachts built for a new breed of sailor. The 2019 CMC blasted on to the Caribbean winter calendar with first class racing, unique shore-side activities, and impressive prizes for winners. Speed machines like the Bieker 53 Fujin, the HH 66 R-Six, and the Rapido 60 Trimaran burnt up their specially designed courses. Other courses were set for cruising multi’s from builders like Fontaine Pajot, Leopard, Neel, and Outremer who closely competed in hot races of their own.

For the February 2020 the event and racing program is even stronger!

For this February, the Sint Maarten Yacht Club - race organizers - are planning an international event with a special race beginning on the Dutch side and ending for the evening on the French side.

For 2020, we also plan to host owner’s groups with exclusive docking and custom events celebrating the various brands of multi’s that will enter. Races within races. Parties within parties. Prize giving’s within prize giving’s.

To get the ball rolling on entries and/or events for your owners, contact Steve Burzon or Leonde Vermeulen - Event Manager at the SMYC. We’ll help you create an experience to build your brand for years to come!
